When I say consider the pantry, I mean consider what you might put in it that you never have before. Perhaps something made by your own hand that might even save you money (thought it will likely mean an investment in time).

I am not an expert, nor a perfectionist. So fumble, I will. I intend to put all kinds of taste memories into glass jars. Some of my experiments will likely fail spectacularly. Hopefully I won’t poison my husband in the process.

Full disclosure: This blog has an alterior motive. As a freelance writer, I’ve discovered and invented several methods of procrastination. Putting food in jars is one of the most satisfying methods I’ve tested thus far.
