OK, so I got four 250 ml (that&#039;s half-pint in the US) jars out of this recipe. If the recipe doesn&#039;t list how many jars you&#039;ll get (I&#039;m bad at doing this!), I usually guesstimate and make sure to prepare (clean and sterilize) more than I think I&#039;ll need. Another way of guessing how many jars you&#039;ll need is to compare whatever recipe you&#039;re using with a few others that use the same approximate amounts of fruit and sugar etc. and see what the jars are for those recipes. I find that, even when the jar yield is listed, it&#039;s often not what I end up with. I suppose it depends on what kinds of fruit or veg you&#039;re using, their water content, size etc. 
Anyway, good luck and I look forward to hearing about your results.

julia are you anywhere near the hawthorne valley farm store? it&#039;s just off the philmont/harlemville exit off the taconic. they have gorgeous meyers, and that&#039;s where i get my kumquats too.</description>
